Coat, the plugging panel

A new concept in panelling, the outcome of exclusive research carried out by Incoplan, it is called Coat, and it is as simple, contemporary and sophisticated as could be wished for. Simple because of the modular nature of the system which allows for a single panel for walls and ceilings.

At the same time it is a state-of-the-art product, the result of various studies into sheet metal buckling and new design methodologies, stemming from the experience of technical experts in the field of technical development and assembly. The sheet metal used in the panelling is aluminium, however, for use under conditions of high temperatures and increased aggressive action on the material within the cells, it may also be supplied in stainless steel, thus removing the possibility of corrosion. Until recently, the use of panels with the features found in Coat was unthinkable, since the whole system is highly computerized and uses new generation technology.

In manufacturing the Coat panel, the only insulation used is water repellent mineral wool which renders the thermal capacity both constant and long-lasting. The mineral wool, made of fibre glass and rock, is regenerable and biodegradable. The Coat panel does not contain glues which are both expensive and harmful to the environment since the wool is simply adhered to the steel sheets by being pressed on, thus avoiding its inconvenient detachment at a later time: any separation reduces the insulating effect and thus the overall efficiency of the system, in addition to causing unsightly bulges which are visible from the outside.

The system used to join the Coat panels makes use of special washers designed exclusively by Incoplan and which guarantee ease of assembly without having to use a silicon sealant; this means that the cells can also be assembled on site even under adverse weather conditions.

Coat panels, used for plugging both walls and roofs, may be despatched to construction sites disassembled, without the insulating mineral wool, with an average saving of 60% on transport costs. Mineral wool is available for purchase more or less everywhere.
